Where You’ll WorkThis position is based in our Lenexa, KS office. We leverage a hybrid working model working three days in the office, two days optional remote work.
What You’ll Do- The Software Development Project Manager manages scope, schedule, and budget on assigned projects by planning, documenting, and setting deadlines. Assigns responsibilities, monitors, and summarizes progress of the project by employing appropriate project management tools, techniques and methodologies from the point of project approval through the planning of lifecycle support activities and handoff to operations staff.
- Serves as Scrum Master for 2-4 teams, facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing impediments, and promoting continuous improvement.
- Ensures completeness and clarity of project requests; collaborates with requestors to refine requirements as needed.
- Partners with stakeholders to confirm technical feasibility and define implementation approach, aligning technology initiatives with business objectives for successful project delivery.
- Identifies and communicates project variances, risks, and dependencies; applies collaborative risk management, including security and compliance considerations, and negotiation skills to maintain progress and achieve desired outcomes.
- Controls scope, schedule, budget, and resource planning using project management methodologies while maintaining project priorities and timelines.
- Measures project performance using Agile metrics (velocity, burn-down charts) and established tools to ensure quality and progress.
- Facilitates smooth transition of development projects to operational support teams.
- Works with PMO team to advance project management best practices based on sound industry (PMBOK) standards and evolving project management methodologies, recommending methods to improve compliance and increase operational maturity over time.
- Uses data-driven insights from retrospectives and performance metrics to implement improvement plans and optimize delivery.
What You’ll Bring to CHA
- Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying.
- Bachelor’s degree in management, technology, or related field of study.
- Minimum of 5 years’ project management experience required with emphasis on software development projects; data related is a plus.
- Experience with agile development methodologies, including SCRUM Frameworks.
- Five years using Azure Dev Ops (highly preferred), Trello, M365 Project Professional or similar project management tools to drive productive project teams.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
- Problem-solving agility, able to negotiate compromises through relationships and focus on objectives.
- PMP Certification is highly preferred (or demonstrated progress toward certification).
- Lean certification/experience is a plus.

This pay range shown is a guideline. Min: $80,000 Max: $160,000 Compensation is based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
