Program Test Manager (Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering) - London and remote - 7 months+/RATE: £350 per day inside IR35
One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for a Program Test Manager (Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering).
For this role you will need to be onsite in London 2-3 days per week.

Role DescriptionThe Senior Programme Test Manager is accountable for defining and delivering the overall test strategy for complex, strategic end-to-end programmes. This role ensures quality assurance and testing excellence across business and IT initiatives, driving alignment with organisational objectives and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Test Strategy & Planning:
Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for large-scale, complex programmes. Ensure alignment of testing approach with programme objectives, risk profile, and delivery timelines. - Delivery & Governance:
Lead and manage end-to-end testing activities across multiple work streams. Establish and enforce testing standards, frameworks, and governance processes. - Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor a team of Project Test Leads, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Allocate resources effectively to meet programme demands. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align testing objectives with business and IT goals. Provide clear and concise reporting on test progress, risks, and quality metrics. - Risk & Issue Management:
Drive defect management and resolution processes across programme teams. Apply risk-based testing approaches to optimise coverage and efficiency. - Continuous Improvement:
Champion quality engineering practices and innovation within the testing discipline.
- 20+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering.
- 10+ years creating test strategies and delivering testing for strategic, complex E2E programmes.
- Extensive business and IT experience within the Insurance industry.
- 5+ years managing and mentoring teams of Project Test Leads.
- Excellent conceptualisation and verbalisation skills for articulating complex ideas clearly.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to influence at senior levels.
