RHEL Administrator; Secret Clearance

Overview

Clearance: U.S. Citizenship is required. DHS Secret Clearance required. Candidates with dual citizenship cannot be considered per government requirements.

Dev Technology is seeking a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Administrator to provide expertise in managing and optimizing assets for our federal client's critical operations.

• Manage and support RHEL-based server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and patch management
• Monitor and analyze system performance to identify and resolve bottlenecks, implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and reliability
• Execute system backup and recovery operations to ensure data protection and high availability
• Assess and recommend hardware and software solutions to address business needs and improve the RHEL server environment
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures
• Conduct vulnerability assessments using tools like Tenable, HP Web Inspect, and similar platforms
• Investigate security incidents, assess risks, and design mitigation strategies, implementing proactive and reactive measures to enhance security

• Active Secret clearance required.
• U.S. Citizenship required (dual citizens not eligible due to federal contract requirements).
• Experience with federal government contracts, with a preference for contracts under Homeland Security.
• 7+ years of experience working as a system admin on Linux or Red Hat systems is required; related experience is acceptable.
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience with Open Shift.
• Participation in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs is required.
• Candidates must reside within a commutable distance for daily onsite work and meet recall/on-call requirements in a 24x7x365 environment.

• Team player and fast learner with the ability to work proactively and independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills to support geographically diverse mission-critical operations.

Our estimated salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000. This presented salary range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Offered salary is based on education, experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements as appropriate to the role.
