On-Call: 24/7 rotation – 1 week every 6 weeks
Our client is a large, national healthcare diagnostics organization with a high-volume Epic Beaker laboratory environment. We are seeking an experienced Epic Beaker Systems Analyst with a strong focus on Data Innovations (DI) middleware to support a highly active laboratory environment. This is a hands‑on, run‑the‑business role supporting day‑to‑day operations, instrument connectivity, and ongoing maintenance, not a greenfield implementation.

Rate: $70 - $75 / hr. w2
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day production support for Epic Beaker (CP), including troubleshooting and maintenance
- Administer and support Data Innovations (DI) middleware
, ensuring reliable instrument connectivity and data flow - Support frequent instrument adds, removals, and changes in a high‑volume lab environment
- Troubleshoot interface, rules, and connectivity issues between lab instruments and Beaker
- Partner with local LIS, lab operations, and IT teams to resolve issues and support ongoing needs
- Follow Service Now‑based change control and incident management processes in a large enterprise environment
- Support light Beaker build and configuration as needed
- Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation (1 week every 6 weeks)
- Production support + middleware‑focused Beaker role
- Highly active environment with constant instrument activity
- Hands‑on, operational, and collaborative
- A pure implementation or project‑only role
- A DI‑only position without Beaker
- A low‑volume or passive support environment
- The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast‑paced production setting, troubleshooting instrument interfaces, supporting Beaker application workflows, and partnering closely with local LIS and lab teams.
- Hands‑on Epic Beaker application support experience
- Strong experience with Data Innovations (DI) middleware and lab instrument interfaces
- Experience supporting production systems in a large enterprise or healthcare environment
- Familiarity with Service Now
, ITIL processes, and formal change controls
- Certifications: Epic Beaker certification and relevant Data Innovations certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience supporting multiple lab instruments simultaneously
- Background working closely with laboratory operations or LIS teams
- Experience in high‑change, high‑uptime healthcare or diagnostics environments
