Associate Director, Product Strategy

Overview

As an Associate Director, Product Strategy, you will help our clients define and deliver their product roadmap in an agile and data-driven environment relentlessly focused on driving superior business outcomes for our customers. You will lead a collaborative, cross-functional and high-performance team working with CX/UX designers, developers and senior management to guide products through to fruition and help teams build and enhance successful products that deliver a differentiated customer experience, meet the demands of the market and drive business results.

• Drive transformation from outputs (projects) to outcomes (products) and shift ways of working to a product mindset (speed / quality / value).
• Develop a deep understanding of the client’s goals and priorities, competitive market positioning and differentiation.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to identify new product ideas and concepts based on industry and market trend analysis.
• Own product ownership including problem framing, opportunity shaping, backlog management, development stages, and pilot & rollout planning.
• Implement learnings to optimize product and operations to promote data-driven decisions throughout the product lifecycle.
• Analyze customer feedback and data to identify important issues to address.
• Foster product thinking, mindset and rigor through data-driven decision making and test-and-learn practices.
• Develop and test hypotheses with Customer Research teams to generate objective evidence using data-driven decision tools and methods.
• Establish a prioritization model aligned with market differentiation and strategic themes to prioritize features, user stories and technology enablers based on customer needs and strategic implications.
• Understand customer/user needs to define clear feature requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize the program and team backlog based on customer and business value.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members across engineering, design, data science, etc. to innovate concepts and product features using fast learning cycles.
• Monitor and report product performance against established KPIs/OKRs.
• Build alignment across product teams, marketing, operations, customer experience, engineering, and leadership to ensure ongoing alignment with vision and business needs.

• 7-9 years of relevant work in strategy or product roles.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization including Engineering, Marketing, Finance, UX, and Analytics.
• Experience using data and analytics tools with the ability to leverage data for fast, data-driven decision making.
• Entrepreneurial drive and ability to achieve stretch goals in a fast-paced environment.
• Track record of managing product roadmaps, writing clear product requirement documents, collaborating with UX on product design, and experience in cross-cultural, geographically distributed teams.
• Knowledge of lean-Agile transformation frameworks such as SAFe and Design Thinking tools including customer journey mapping and service design.

• Experience shipping products to market.
• Strong analytics skills and experience with analytics/visualization tools.
• Business and digital strategy experience.
• Experience identifying organizational and process changes required to realize benefits of a solution.

Compensation Range: $105,165 - $165,485 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.
