Part‑time | 12‑Month Contract | Mostly Remote (UK) | SC Clearance Required

We are seeking an experienced Software AG (web Methods) API Gateway Specialist to join a secure, Defence‑aligned programme. This role will support the design, implementation and ongoing management of API Gateway and web Methods solutions within a highly regulated environment.

The position is offered on a part‑time, 12‑month contract basis, with predominantly remote working and occasional on‑site attendance as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Software AG API Gateway solutions supporting cloud implementations
• Install, configure and support web Methods products across multiple environments
• Create and maintain logical and deployment architecture views within Software AG
• Design and develop APIs in line with agreed transaction methods and coding standards
• Enable secure API connectivity between networks with differing data security classifications
• Configure and manage ORDS endpoints and API Gateway proxying
• Implement and support Terracotta database caching solutions
• Support API Gateway connectivity to databases
• Integrate SOC/SIEM tooling with web Methods platforms
• Contribute to Defence accreditation, compliance and assurance processes
• Expert‑level experience with Software AG API Gateway
• Extensive experience using API Gateways to support cloud‑based integrations
• Strong expertise in installation, configuration and maintenance of web Methods products
• Proven experience in API design, transaction handling and governance standards
• Experience supporting secure integrations across multiple network classifications
• Hands‑on experience with:
• Database connectivity via API Gateways
• SOC/SIEM integration
• Experience working within Defence or similarly regulated environments
