The bullets below are from the companies HR page. They are like most boring HR written job descriptions. What they really need is a Hyperion Essbase developer with extensive experience using the product. As a consultant you’ll be advising clients on implementation, development and other related support issues. You have to be better than all others at the client site otherwise people wouldn't be paying the outrageous fees.

Most of the work is in the Midwest but be prepared to travel because their client base is deep and they service firms all over the country. Think you qualify? Apply and find out!!

• Work with clients to gather complex business requirements and turn them into practical planning, reporting and analytical solutions.
• Effective in full life cycle development of Hyperion Planning or Essbase solutions; including system requirements, design, build, implementation and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and optimise applications.
• Build effective and sustainable client relationships.

• Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on development experience with the Hyperion Planning or Essbase products.
• Developer level knowledge of data integration tools such as ODI and FDM.
• Experience with Oracle Hyperion reporting tools – Financial Reporting and Smart View.
• Sound understanding of corporate finance processes and technology, including knowledge of key corporate operational systems (ERP, GL, Data Warehouse, etc.).
• Experience with structured project management implementation process.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable interfacing with business users.
• Good troubleshooting and technical skills.
• Ability to productively work from home office.
• 4‑year degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or Business.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

• Prior consulting experience.
• Experience with multiple products in the Oracle Hyperion product family (HFM, OBIEE).
• Hyperion Certified Professional.
• CPA or MBA.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Previous finance or accounting experience.

This position requires a readiness to travel nationally without restrictions. While our goal is to work locally in the Midwest, this position may require significant out of town travel.
