The Investment Company Institute (ICI) is the leading association representing regulated investment funds, including mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), closed-end funds, and unit investment trusts (UITs) in the United States, and UCITS and similar funds offered to investors in Europe, Asia, and other jurisdictions. The Membership Database Administrator utilizes the Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM database to review and understand membership data, help improve and update the database, and partner with the IT team to address and resolve issues. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate records within the membership database and responding to questions in a timely manner.
Essential functions of this role include:
- Helps manage and improve the Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM database by maintaining accurate data, making sure the system runs well, and assisting with database setup.
- Sets up and maintains workflows, dashboards, and reporting tools within Microsoft Dynamics 365 and related platforms to support evolving business objectives.
- Works with legacy applications to integrate CRM database tools and platforms.
- Utilizes Microsoft 365 Customer Engagement and Customer Insights to enhance member interactions. Assists with developing personalized communication strategies and targeted outreach efforts, as well as analyzing engagement metrics to provide actionable insights.
- Uses Power BI and SQL for data analysis and advanced reporting. Creates dashboards and visuals for real-time insights into membership activities, trends, and operational performance.
- Acts as a liaison with the IT department to support improvements, modifications, and issue resolution for applications used by the Membership department and ICI website. Participates in discussions regarding new tools and system enhancements.
- Assists with maintaining fund and company records in the CRM and legacy membership database using N-CEN filings and other external data sources to ensure data accuracy. Processes and inputs data on company and fund mergers and liquidations.
- Researches and compiles information using internal databases, SQL, Power BI, and external resources to generate reports and support decision making.
- Performs additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by Senior Director, Membership.
If you have the following credentials, we encourage you to apply:
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum five years managing CRM systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 customer engagement and insight tools or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
- Excellent database knowledge and skills, specifically customer relationship management databases; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, including Customer Engagement and Customer Insight, highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Power BI and other Microsoft 365 applications.
- Familiarity with SQL and data analytics.
- Experience with API integrations and automation tools.
- Ability to complete work with accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze problems/determine solutions.
- Ability to work independently.
ICI offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Compensation is based on several factors, including but not limited to, qualifications for the position, experience, education, and internal peer compensation comparisons. Base pay is one component of ICI’s total compensation, which also includes healthcare benefits, generous 401(k) plan, transit subsidy, and paid leave.
Based in Washington, DC, ICI is conveniently located next to McPherson Square Metro station. This is a hybrid position with three days in the office and two working from home.
