Job Description

We are searching for an experienced Windows, Active Directory Server, and Server Engineer. This person will work heavily in Active Directory and user migration to other domains. The role involves researching, analyzing, and resolving problems to meet performance metrics for the Windows platform, collaborating with team members, software vendors, and other technical staff to develop, design, implement, and continuously improve systems.

We seek a self‑starter who is a critical thinker and problem solver, ready to adapt to change, and capable of supporting on‑ and off‑site users in a call center or business center regarding Windows Server, DHCP, DNS, storage, and associated application support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, configuration, setup, and troubleshooting for Windows servers, Active Directory, and related technologies.
• Create and maintain complex Power Shell scripts, documented procedures for Windows infrastructure, and collaborate with team members and vendors.
• Perform day‑to‑day activities such as scripting, coding, server deployment (physical and virtual), GPO and OU modification, DHCP scopes, virtual environment support, DNS, and documentation.

Required Skills / Experience
  • 8+ years’ server experience.
  • Associate degree or equivalent training.
  • Partial onsite and partial work‑at‑home position.
  • Windows Server build configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Active Directory Server Engineering and related technologies.
  • Group Policy creation, editing, and troubleshooting.
  • Certification in MCSA, MCSE, VMware, ITIL, or similar (asset).
  • Power Shell scripting.
  • AD Sites and Services.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Troubleshooting and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of RAID, Windows Power Shell, Visual Studio / .NET.
  • Server build, configuration, cabling, and data center maintenance.
  • Patch deployment tools: WSUS, SCCM, Bigfix, PDQ.
Mandatory Skills
  • Good communication and Power Shell scripting.
  • Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Server hardware and Windows OS, AD, DNS, DHCP.
  • Active Directory configuration and maintenance.
  • VDI support.
  • Installation and removal of Windows Server features and roles (e.g., RDS, DNS, DHCP).
  • Performance monitoring and troubleshooting using Event Viewer and Task Manager.
  • Server OS installation for Windows Server 2019, 2022, and 2025.
  • Server compliance knowledge.
  • Understanding of VA gaps and remediation.
  • Virtualization platforms: VMware and Hyper‑V.

The role will require some on‑call availability and occasional work during non‑business hours and weekends. Flexibility in work timing is a critical aspect of this role.
