The Business and Clinical Intelligence Developer (BID) role encompasses advanced responsibilities in software development and analytics. BIDs provide both ad-hoc and automated data products to the organization and to vendors outside the organization, utilizing acquired expertise in clinical, revenue, and/or patient movement data models. The BID will conduct in-depth analysis, design intricate solutions, and implement those solutions as stored SQL procedures, reports, and data extracts from the Epic Cogito analytics environment as well as various clinical and financial systems within Riverside.

Leveraging a diverse range of software technologies, BIDs play a pivotal role in enhancing our business and clinical intelligence capabilities, as well as realizing our data science strategy. Furthermore, it is imperative that BID's maintain the utmost confidentiality when handling protected health information, and employ exceptional interpersonal skills to identify and resolve any challenges that may arise during the course of projects.

• Data Product Development:
  Create both ad-hoc and automated data products in support of the organization's data strategy. Gather, process, and transform data into meaningful insights that support decision-making. Develop data products with expertise in clinical, revenue, and/or patient movement data models. Use business intelligence tools such as Power
  
  BI, Cogito SQL, Reporting Workbench, MoveIT, and internal reporting tools.
• Stakeholder Communication:
  Initiate timely communication and analyze customer/project reporting needs. Engage customers to determine the purpose of the report and required items. Cross-check understanding and determine when partial or multiple reports are appropriate. Communicate status, milestones, or obstacles with customers and leadership using available channels. Encourage use of Service Now for request tracking and prioritization. Facilitate meetings with team members and stakeholders.
  
  Proactively seek leadership assistance for prioritization and critical issues.
• Cogito Analytics:
  Design comprehensive reporting solutions using Cogito tools and SQL. Translate stakeholder requirements into efficient and scalable database solutions, reporting systems, and analytical tools. Select appropriate technology, define data models, and create robust reporting applications to meet clinical and financial intelligence needs. Explore opportunities within Epic User Web, Galaxy, or other software packages within scope.
• iCare Maintenance:
  Review Nova Notes upgrade documentation related to Cogito tools and content; determine best methods for implementing, disseminating, and training on changes. Ensure reporting continues to function. Complete upgrade-related tasks on time. Use Sherlock support logs for troubleshooting as needed.
• Implement special assignments and projects as directed by a Business and Clinical Intelligence Manager, focusing on data engineering, data development, or data science to support the analytics strategy.
• Certification and Training:
  Maintain Epic Certification New Version Training (NVT) in assigned coverage areas. Update training, performance improvement, technical skills, and healthcare industry knowledge through approved training and certifications.

• Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field (Required)
• Masters Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field (Required)

• 3-4 years of relevant experience encompassing reporting system administration, report creation and maintenance, SQL development, data extraction, relational database concepts, and proficiency in EPIC Reporting Applications (Required for candidates with a Bachelors Degree)
• 1 year of relevant experience encompassing reporting system administration, report creation and maintenance, SQL development, data extraction, relational database concepts, and proficiency in EPIC Reporting Applications (Required for candidates with a Masters Degree)

• Epic Cogito certification required within 120 days.
• Epic certifications in assigned data models required within 1 year.
