My client, a global technology provider operating in the communications and financial services space
, is hiring an IT Help Desk Engineer (Evening Shift) to join an established support team based in Northern Ireland
. This is a newly created role within an existing team, supporting a cloud-based communications and voice platform used by global clients.

As an IT Help Desk Engineer
, you will provide first-line technical support, acting as the initial point of contact for client issues. You will support user provisioning, troubleshoot cloud-based voice and connectivity issues, assist with basic hardware support, and ensure a high standard of service delivery. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build experience in cloud communications and enterprise technology.
- 1+ years' experience in an IT Support / Help Desk / Technical Support role
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a willingness to learn new technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience supporting Windows environments
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP, DNS, VPN)
- Experience using ticketing systems (Zendesk, Jira, or similar)
- Exposure to SaaS platforms and cloud-based services
- Understanding of Single Sign-On (SSO) concepts (e.g. SAML)
Desirable:
- Experience supporting voice or communications platforms
- Familiarity with VoIP / SIP technologies or cloud PBX systems
- Exposure to financial services or regulated environments
- Understanding of SLAs, incident management, and escalation processes
