The Cloud Engineer will play a key role within the cloud operations team working closely with development, security, and the engineering teams to ensure the development, deployment and maintenance of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions. Drive cloud adoption through proven experience in deploying solutions, enhancing sustainability, implementing automation, and balancing cloud solution costs.
Responsibilities Leadership and Direction- Receive broad guidance relating to overall key objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters and general parameters for execution. Receive direction as needed, and especially on highly complex assignments.
- Independently apply extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Review work produced by staff for quality assurance.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to develop the necessary resources, automation and code to implement the specified cloud solutions.
- Work closely with support, security, architecture, and development teams to ensure seamless implementation and sustainment over the full lifecycle of the solution.
- Lead operations teams in monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving cloud-related issues.
- Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end cloud solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
- Suggest and evaluate cloud operations best practices for cloud adoption, governance, security, and scalability.
- Lead cloud migrations, modernization, and digital transformation project initiatives.
- Develop and deploy cloud solution artifacts using infrastructure as code (IaC), Dev Ops, and CI/CD in an enterprise cloud adoption framework (CAF) environment.
- Ensure cloud solutions development and deployments meet compliance with industry standards, security frameworks, regulatory requirements, and enterprise architecture.
- Optimize cloud costs, performance, and reliability by leveraging cloud operations best practices.
- Configure platform controls to manage costs effectively and prevent overruns.
- Stay up to date with cloud services, trends, and emerging technologies.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and external partners.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Three or more (3+) years of experience in cloud engineering and operations in Microsoft Azure.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and cloud security principles.
- Solid understanding of zero trust and cloud security.
- Proven experience in designing, building, and migrating Azure cloud solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Dev Ops, Cl/CD, and automation in cloud environments.
- Proficiency developing and deploying landing zone solutions using Azure cloud services including virtual machines, containers, applications, storage, networking, databases, security, and identity management.
- Experience designing Azure solutions to meet the core pillars of the Well-Architected Framework (WAF).
- Experience deploying and maintaining the Azure Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and associated Landing Zones.
