Workday Testing Lead

This is a part‑time, contract opportunity for a Workday Testing Lead supporting a local government client, based in Charlotte, NC, with hybrid flexibility that includes remote work. In this role, the Workday Testing Lead will lead the design and execution of comprehensive testing strategies, develop and manage test cases, and ensure the overall quality and reliability of all Workday system components.

Responsibilities include close collaboration with cross‑functional teams and government stakeholders to assess testing requirements, proactively identify risks and issues, and ensure solutions align with organizational standards, regulatory considerations, and public‑sector business objectives. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to effectively guide team members and engage stakeholders. This position requires occasional travel.

• Prior experience with Workday HCM, Finance, or Payroll modules.
• Proficient in testing, including expertise in developing and conducting test cases.
• Strong analytical skills to assess processes and identify optimization opportunities.
• Experienced in software testing, including proficiency with Workday systems and workflows.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teams and provide clear updates to stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead testing projects effectively and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high‑quality results.
