• This position is responsible for the transformation, consolidation, and implementation of new and existing technology for the firm, and will assist with numerous large and small-scale technical projects while contributing to the creation of strategic and long-term plans for the company.
• Extensive experience with network design, implementation and management, including but not limited to LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Cisco IOS, NX-OS, ASAs with Firepower, FTDs, ISR, MPLS, Dynamic Routing, and Meraki MS, MX and MR equipment.
• Deep understanding of cloud networking with AWS VPC, NACLs, SG, Transit Gateways, Direct Connects and Multi-Region Peering, plus deployment of load balancers, monitoring and configuration managers.
• Ability to evaluate multi-vendor network technologies and interconnect them as one; serves as an interface to application development teams and IT operations for troubleshooting issues.
• Overseeing/testing/implementing new network hardware and topologies under change management; providing recommendations and technology-based solutions to business requirements.
• Researching, planning, and deploying new systems or technology as needed.
• Performing expert-level diagnostics to fix or improve network communications for corporate systems; assisting systems engineering when required; providing second and third level support to IT operations; troubleshooting problems and answering hardware and software questions.
• Creating documentation for new technology implementations, operational procedures, and topology; building new connections to partner companies or new acquisitions based on requirements.
• Conducting detailed analysis, defining standards on infrastructure design to optimize for future growth; working with ISP vendors for new site deployments and upgrades.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide education and guidance on tools; maintaining current knowledge of technology by attending training or reading related documentation.
• Maintaining a good working knowledge of corporation-owned hardware and software; documenting problem resolutions in appropriate systems; effective verbal and written communication; planning and coordinating work assignments and prioritizing workload.
• Knowledge of ITIL concepts; managing the network engineering and network operations teams and providing support as needed; and other activities as assigned by management.

• 2-year degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; minimum 8+ years of industry and/or relevant experience (typically with 2+ years in an AVP level role or external equivalent); 8+ years in network operations and design preferred.
• 3+ years' experience with Windows operating systems; 3+ years' experience with Linux operating systems.
• Current certifications preferred (CCNA R&S, CCPN, AWS Solutions Architect); experience with project management; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of firewall, router and switching principles;
  Cisco ASA firewalls, ISR routers, Nexus and Catalyst switches, Meraki MX, MS and MR equipment; experience with HSRP and dynamic routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF).
• Extensive knowledge of IPsec VPN (route-based and policy-based), remote access VPN tunnels; experience with monitoring tools (Solar Winds NPM/NCM, PRTG).
• Knowledge of Rancid, NPS servers, LDAP, RADIUS, TACACS, SCP, SNMP, SSH, DNS; strong understanding of wireless design/implementation/troubleshooting and 802.1x.
