Senior Data Scientist

Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to lead advanced analytics on one of the nation’s most visible public-facing systems. You’ll analyze large-scale clickstream, event, and user-journey data to identify friction points and improve digital experiences for millions. This is a hands-on technical role where your code, models, and insight will directly inform product and policy decisions.

• Build analytical frameworks for funnel, path, and time-to-completion modeling.
• Design and deploy Python pipelines using pandas, Num Py, scikit-learn, stats models
  , and Spark or Databricks
  .
• Apply regression, clustering, survival analysis, and causal inference to understand user behavior.
• Partner with UX and product teams to translate data findings into design recommendations.
• Create interactive visualizations (Plotly Dash, Power BI, Tableau) for leadership insights.
• Ensure data quality, reproducibility, and privacy compliance within secure cloud environments.

• 5+ years in data science, analytics, or applied statistics
  .
• Strong coding in Python and SQL
  ; experience with big-data tools (
  Spark, Snowflake, Databricks
  ) preferred.
• Deep knowledge of behavioral, funnel, or clickstream analytics
  .
• Solid grounding in statistical testing, A/B experimentation, and ML fundamentals
  .
• Excellent communication—able to explain complex results clearly to non-technical partners
