Localization Expert – Software Products

Our headquartered in Sofia with a team of 200 and we have a sales office in San Diego, CA.

The Localization Expert is a key role within Mobi Systems that supports all translation needs of the company. We release new versions of our products in as much as 52 languages. There is also a wide variety of other texts that need to be translated on a regular basis - product page descriptions, help text articles, reseller agreements, promotions, advertisements, etc.

In addition, there are a lot of Email templates that have to be created and maintained in several languages.

You will work together with the Localization Lead to deliver these localization projects against the agreed-upon requirements and timelines.

Execute localization projects across multiple products (Mobi Office, MobiPDF, etc.) platforms (Windows, iOS, Android, Web) and teams (Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Support)

Receive localization tasks on Jira in different technical formats (xml, csv, strings) from the Mobi Systems teams

Work with translation management systems (e.g.; Lokalise, Crowdin) to create and manage the localization projects

Build translation workflows including AI/human pre-translation/translation/proofreading steps depending on the requirements

Communicate with language service providers - and their linguistic teams to ensure
-smooth progress of the localization projects and troubleshoot any issues that may come up

Upload the localizations to the respective Mobi Systems systems if necessary

Create and maintain documentation about the localization orders, the number of words translated, related expenses, etc.

Create and maintain Email templates in multiple languages in Email delivery system such as Sendgrid

Excellent written and verbal English. Fluency in an additional language is a plus

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a Foreign Language, Philology, Applied Linguistics, Translation or similar

Excellent computer literacy - willing and able to master and work with various internal and external tools and technical file formats

High attention to detail and experience in proofreading or linguistic QA

Experience with web-based localization software and language service providers

Experience with machine and AI translation

Knowledge and experience with HTML/CSS

Experience working with exotic languages. (We support languages like Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew, Farsi, Thai, etc.)
