Security Architect - Secure Design

Overview

Join our Banking and Financial Services Security and Fraud Prevention team to defend Macquarie’s retail banking and financial services business. Our team ensures confidentiality, integrity and availability of Macquarie’s systems and information.

In this role as a Security Architect, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to provide security advice and define security architectures for business initiatives and projects. Partnering with technical delivery teams, you will work with technologies including but not limited to cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), container orchestration and automation tools and help drive the secure evolution of the organisation.

You will also review Macquarie’s security capabilities and provide recommendations to uplift our security capability landscape.

• 10+ years’ experience in technical design and architecture roles and 7+ years security experience in large enterprises
• Current or previous experience in configuring, operating, designing and architecting security solutions for business and technology initiatives
• Familiarity and experience in formal security architecture aspects, including logical and physical security architecture/design
• Familiarity with SABSA, NIST 800-53, Open FAIR, MITRE ATT&CK/D3
  
  FEND, threat modelling and related methodologies or frameworks
• Demonstrable experience working with public cloud (AWS and/or GCP), containers, Kubernetes and related technologies
• Experience with security engineering, API security, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, automation, and application development valuable
• Familiarity working within an Agile environment
• Sound understanding of vendor technologies and roadmaps, and remains current with key IT industry themes and emerging trends.
