As a Staff Technical Product Manager, you will contribute to building Scout’s next-generation consumer-facing digital experiences. In this highly collaborative role, you’ll work closely with engineering, design, and cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality digital touchpoints across web, mobile, and retail platforms. You'll apply strong technical acumen, user empathy, and executional rigor to bring best-in-class digital features to life.

- Support product strategy execution
:
Collaborate with senior product leaders to refine and execute the product vision and roadmap for key verticals within Scout's consumer-facing digital suite. Help translate high-level goals into actionable product initiatives that support our direct-to-consumer sales and delivery model. Leverage strong problem-solving skills to navigate evolving priorities in a fast-paced, startup environment. - Champion user experience
:
Advocate for the customer throughout the product development lifecycle. Partner with Design and UX teams to create intuitive and impactful digital experiences that support a seamless vehicle-buying journey. Continuously seek user feedback and help translate insights into functional improvements. - Drive cross-functional collaboration
:
Work closely with Engineering, Design, R&D, and Operations to deliver high-quality product features. Support alignment across teams by clarifying requirements, identifying potential blockers, and proposing well-reasoned solutions. - Manage key stakeholder relationships
:
Act as a trusted advisor to internal and external partners, presenting solutions that align with broader business goals. Be a natural relationship builder and clear communicator. - Operationalize products
:
Oversee the roll-out of technical solutions to the marketplace, ensuring performance, reliability and consumer adoption achieve agreed upon outcomes. - Drive technical excellence
:
Collaborate with engineering teams to make informed trade-offs and support scalable, secure product development. Apply working knowledge of APIs, data systems, and platform capabilities to contribute to sound technical decisions. - Measure and optimize
:
Define and monitor key success metrics. Analyze product data to identify areas of opportunity and support iterative improvements. - This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Fremont, California or remotely within the United States. This role is not eligible for remote work in New York City.
- The responsibilities of this role will require attendance in office with some in-person meetings and events.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- Experience:
- 8+ years of product management experience, with a strong emphasis on consumer facing digital products.
- Demonstrated success in building and launching complex digital experiences enjoyed by millions — or billions — of people around the world.
- Clear sense of what good software looks like.
- Automotive experience is a plus but not required.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of system architecture, APIs, and cloud technologies.
- Experience with enterprise-level systems such as CRM, ERP, or service management platforms.
- Skills:
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
- Data-driven decision-making abilities and experience with tools for analytics and performance measurement.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
