Overview

UX Researcher – User Research International (South Korea) – 6-month contract
Salary: ₩73,000/hr - ₩103,000/hr

User Researcher International is seeking a UX Researcher to join our clients South Korea UX team, partnering closely with designers and content strategists to elevate the experience for Korean travelers. This role is ideal for someone with deep cultural understanding of the Korean market, strong mixed methods research skills, and the ability to turn insights into clear, actionable design recommendations. You’ll bridge global design systems with local expectations to ensure an exceptional, culturally resonant end-to-end experience for Korean customers.

This is a remote position but must be based in South Korea.

Responsibilities
  • Independent execution of UX Research Phases:
    Planning and Scoping, Moderating, Analysis, Reporting, and Presenting.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills are required;
    English is the language in which we do business.
  • Project Management abilities: manages own schedule independently, manages multiple projects/tasks effectively, verifies and monitors scope of work.
  • Able to take on any project end-to-end.
  • Manages collaboration with stakeholders for their projects and broader research project discussions.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of industry work experience in the field of User Research is required.
  • Expert knowledge of the field of human-computer interaction, experimental design, observational and field methods, and qualitative data analysis is required. Experience with quantitative methods (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience conducting UX research in Korea for digital products (travel or e-commerce strongly preferred).
  • Expertise in qualitative research (required); experience with quantitative methods (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present insights to both local and global stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, cross-functional, highly collaborative environment.
  • Native Korean speaker and fluent in English.
  • Must reside in South Korea.
  • BA, MA/MS in HCI, psychology, human factors, or highly related field.
