D), the BI Engineer works closely with internal stakeholders to determine business intelligence, reporting and data analysis needs. You will work with business and development teams to design and document dashboards, alerts, and reports. As BI Engineer you are not only a report builder, you are also a data modeller, steward, and a first-class citizen for data manipulation, ready to answer the question:

• Lead BI analytical projects as part of the implementation of new BI software tools and systems (Google Big Query, Looker).
• Work on highly complex, cross-functional, and enterprise BI solutions.
• Evaluate internal and external stakeholder needs in order to provide appropriate solutions.
• Participate in the planning process, technical design, development and testing of BI solutions.
• Provide input to the development of information quality metrics.
• Review data pipelines and test plans to ensure that business results are tested and correct.
• Research, identify, analyse, and provide input to new tools, frameworks, techniques, patterns, or processes that will have a positive impact on the BI architecture.
• Research and develop best practices for reports and dashboards deployments.
• Provide guidance, training, and problem-solving assistance to other team members.
• Provide subject matter expertise for key BI core functions.

• Ability to understand a customer’s business needs and translate them into development requirements.
• Ability to anticipate, identify, and define problems and seek root causes.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to collaborate with other members of formal and informal groups in pursuit of common missions, vision, values, and mutual goals.

• Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, with a minimum of 5 years of Business Analysis or related technical experience.
• If no Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma, an equivalent experience of at least 8 years in Business Analysis or related technical experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience using BI reporting tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Microsoft BI).
• Minimum 3 years SQL experience.
• Minimum 3 years Data Warehousing experience.
• High proficiency in working with large data sets and business models.
• Knowledge of one or more business functional areas.
• Google Cloud Platform and/or Google Big Query experience is advantageous.
• Python experience would be advantageous.
• Current or previous subscriptions / recurring payment experience would be beneficial.
• Experience in e-commerce would be advantageous.
