Systems Engineer
Agile Communications, Inc. (Agile), founded in February 2000, specializes in the design and analysis of networked communications systems deployed in harsh environments. With offices/labs in West Long Branch, NJ, Thousand Oaks, CA, and North Charleston, SC, Agile has been instrumental in developing tactical network architectures to meet the Department of War’s operational needs and radio/waveform capabilities. The company focuses on the architecture, design, evaluation, and field configuration/validation of battlefield C4
ISR systems. Agile’s products include tactical routers and test equipment. Agile's engineers have extensive experience with large scale deployments and are highly skilled in operational and system architecture development, tactical network systems engineering, system test and evaluation, and problem analysis through modeling and simulation.
This is a full‑time hybrid role for a Senior Technical Manager, based in the Charleston, South Carolina area, supporting the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC). Limited work from home.
The Senior Technical Manager will be responsible for providing team leadership in the area of test development and execution, program and project management.
Key responsibilities include technical support, troubleshooting test beds and systems under test, evaluating and validating tactical network communications systems, analyzing system performance, serving as an SME and representative for Agile’s product line, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Qualifications- Program, project, or product management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical support and troubleshooting experience.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with battlefield C4
ISR systems desirable. - Hands‑on experience with tactical network systems (terrestrial, MANET, HF, SATCOM).
- Hands‑on experience with IP networking and root cause analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
- Master’s degree in business or technical field a plus.
- US citizenship and current Secret or higher clearance required.
- A telephonic screening interview with the supervisor.
- Two in-person or virtual interviews with SMEs.
- A background investigation and reference check.
- Short sample of technical writing (AI-generated style may reduce likelihood of selection).
