Purpose of Position
The Sr. Epic Analyst functions across all Cape Cod Healthcare affiliates as an information systems consultant to senior management, department managers, supervisors, clinicians, providers, and staff as they plan, implement, and maintain Information Systems and provide Information Services.

Responsibilities- Challenge current working practices; identify process improvement opportunities and present recommendations and solutions to management. Engage and commit to the organization’s culture of continuous improvement by actively participating, supporting, and promoting CCHC Pillars of Excellence.
- Act as an information systems management consultant to senior management, department management, and user stakeholders, developing and demonstrating advanced skills with small to medium complexity departmental and interdisciplinary operational workflow analysis and systems design.
- Demonstrate advanced Epic system build capabilities and consistently complete multiple concurrent assigned build tasks independently. Provide basic system build support and guidance to Epic System Analyst staff as needed.
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of the Epic testing process, including complex script development, execution, error identification and correction, and completion processes independently, and provide developmental enhancements to the testing process as needed.
- Understand and routinely comply with established Departmental and Epic change control process and procedures. Provide review and input into group / team change control matters.
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of Epic system maintenance requirements and proactively complete assigned system maintenance tasks including issue alert responses in a timely and accurate manner, escalating related issues and providing support and guidance for Epic System Analysts as needed.
- Demonstrate intermediate to advanced documentation capabilities, including completeness, maintenance, and updating, and assume responsibility for assigned system documentation for a group / team.
- Understand and routinely comply with established Departmental and Epic ITSM/ITIL service and support processes, including but not limited to issue, problem, asset, and time accounting management processes and procedures. Provide proactive input into service and support process improvement.
- Demonstrate intermediate to advanced levels of system troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities for assigned areas of support and be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of related technology and application components of more complex, interdisciplinary troubleshooting and diagnostic issues.
- Complete individually assigned work which is complex in nature in a timely, efficient, and effective manner for primary areas of responsibility. Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills for complex and interdisciplinary group / team work and understand enterprise system workflows and system considerations and requirements.
- Work collaboratively with group / team members and with other technical or functional areas of the department.
- Provide proactive support for group / team member System Analysts.
- Establish a proactive and effective business relationship with operational stakeholders and super-users, based on an intermediate level of understanding of operational workflows and system requirements and meeting their support requirements.
- Provide input and subject matter expertise into project‑related planning and implementation work. Demonstrate the ability to effectively and efficiently coordinate assigned scopes of work within a bigger project as assigned.
- Monitor and evaluate issues and request queues as assigned.
- Fulfill on‑call responsibilities as assigned.
