Command Center Analyst Senior
Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield is seeking a highly experienced Command Center Analyst Senior (CCAS) to monitor and ensure the continuous operation of the enterprise computer and application network environment.
Job SummaryThe CCAS works closely with other CCAs, System Administrators, Engineers, and Developers to ensure proper functioning of all business services, applications, and technical services. The Command Center operates 24x7x365 in designated office locations, covering evenings, weekends, and some holidays, and is responsible for the successful completion of all scheduled data processing workloads.
Requirements- Education
:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field. In lieu of a degree, five (5) years of related experience will be considered. - Licensing/Certification
:
Network, Virtualization, Operating Systems, and other related certifications preferred. - Experience
:
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in networking systems, computer repair, or network operations, data processing, and production scheduling software.
- Basics of Server Administration in Windows and Linux Operating Systems

- Adhere to all change enablement practices and policies, including participation in the enterprise’s Change Advisory Board (CAB).
- Assist in workload preparation, set‑up, and perform reruns due to JCL errors, hardware malfunctions, bad input data, or job preparation errors.
- Complete assigned work on time and notify leadership promptly regarding incidents, requests, stories, problems, and job abends.
- Conduct problem management practices, including acting as the problem record owner to facilitate improvement.
- Configure monitoring tools to ensure mean time to detect and resolve meets expectations.
- Define and document the monitoring service to the enterprise, including vendor contacts, budgeting, lifecycle management, integrations, and roadmap execution.
- Embark on I&O operating model attributes and act as the standard bearer.
- Engage with external vendors—Facilities, Physical Security, or telecommunications providers—to keep circuits up and operational.
- Maintain updated records, including runbooks, CMDB, and business rules in Service Now to support programmatic decisions.
- Ensure availability of all online networks and timely completion of nightly batch processing.
- Enforce security policies, procedures, and EDP standards—vulnerability management, change and configuration management, findings management.
- Initiate appropriate event, incident, and major incident processes to keep company services available for member and provider operations.
- Monitor the operation of enterprise services, applications, and technical services, including mainframe system health and App Worx queues.
- Participate in on‑call rotations per documented expectations.
- Provide guidance to less experienced Command Center Analysts.
This position is level three (3) and requires the protection of sensitive records and information to prevent substantial harm. The integrity of information must be maintained as outlined in the company Administrative Manual. The role also adheres to segregation of duties guidelines to detect errors or irregularities promptly.
