Security Analyst

What you can expect

We are seeking a front-line Security Analyst to investigate cybersecurity events/incidents s shift role requires working from 08:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST Sunday to Wednesday, or Wednesday to Saturday.

The Detection and Response (D&R) team at Zoom is responsible for safeguarding the company's systems and information to protect customers, partners, and employees. This involves assessing business risk and countering potential threats through proactive and reactive measures. D&R encompasses Cyber Threat Intelligence, Security Logging, Detection Engineering, the Security Operations Center, and Incident Response.

• Triaging, investigating, and escalating cybersecurity events across Zoom’s environment, determining the root cause of why the event happened.
• Collaborating with senior members of D&R to grow your investigative and technical expertise
• Providing investigative support during cybersecurity incidents.
• Aiding in the development and implementation of new processes and procedures as identified by Detection & Response and SOC leadership to enhance Zoom's monitoring, detection, and mitigation capabilities.
• Fielding reported security events from internal and external teams and escalating incidents according to Zoom’s incident response plan.
• Assisting with threat containment and participating in remediation activities during or post-incident.
• Maintaining awareness of the global threat landscape by partnering with Zoom’s Threat Intelligence team.

• Have 0 - 1 year of experience working in a Security Operations Center and/or Incident Response role.
• Have 2+ years of experience in a technical role (IT, Networking, engineering, etc).
• Have experience with or knowledge of security monitoring in a Security Operations Center or Cyber Fusion Center environment.
• Have a natural curiosity coupled with a thoughtful investigative mindset, with the aptitude to grow.
• Have excellent written and oral communication skills.

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note:

Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
