Working HoursWork is typically scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday - with the option to work remotely up to 100% of the time. The working position is Telework. While the schedule may need to be flexible, it will not exceed 40 hours per week or 1040 hours total. The contractor may be occasionally called upon for after-hours as needed.
SummaryThe Software QA Analyst is responsible for advanced and supervisory computer systems analysis, leading testing teams within the IT QA division. Their role includes overseeing daily operations, planning, budgeting, and analyzing user requirements and procedures to automate processes or enhance existing systems.
Mandatory Qualifications- At least 8 years - Testing complex Web Applications.
- At least 8 years - Testing all phases of Software Development Life Cycle.
- At least 3 years - Database/SQL Language.
- At least 2 years - API, JSON.
- At least 3 years - Test automation experience using open source technologies and/or in-house frameworks.
- At least 2 years - Experience in API testing (SOAP and REST).
- At least 2 years Experience with test frameworks like Junit, TestNG.
- At least 1 year Experience with WAPT Pro, Jmeter, or other performance testing tools.
- At least 1 year Experience with Zephyr Scale.
- At least 1 year Experience with JIRA.
- Analyze user requirements, design documents and other documentation to develop detailed test cases.
- Create and execute automated functional and regression test cases, report and document all issues, test cases ran, test results, and testing summaries in detail.
- Perform manual testing and data validation.
- Perform SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data.
- Work with development team and customers to clearly understand the functionality under test to define and implement test case automation and clearly communicate to the team.
- Execute performance and accessibility testing.
The QA group supports and facilitates the implementation of all apps/projects in the Texas Education Agency.
