Position: SEO Manager – Contract (Remote)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced SEO Manager to lead and enhance organic search initiatives within a dynamic wellness and hospitality‑focused digital environment. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strong content SEO expertise and technical SEO understanding to help maximize digital visibility and drive measurable growth. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to an innovative wellness and hospitality digital platform on a flexible freelance basis, with the potential to extend hours based on performance and business needs.

Job Description
  • SEO Manager – Contract
  • Duration: 2-3 months to start
  • Remote (CST)
  • Pay: $45‑55/hr
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and increase website traffic across multiple properties.
  • Identify and capitalize on optimization opportunities in on‑page content, technical SEO, link‑building, and local SEO, including management of business listings and map pack placements.
  • Conduct thorough keyword research targeting wellness, lifestyle, and luxury audiences to guide content development and align with user intent.
  • Collaborate with content creators and marketing teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated without compromising brand voice.
  • Perform website audits addressing technical SEO factors such as site speed, crawl errors, mobile optimization, indexing, and structure.
  • Stay current on search engine algorithm updates, emerging SERP features, AI applications in SEO, and Core Web Vitals to adapt strategies proactively.
  • Analyze SEO performance data and generate actionable reports that inform ongoing optimization efforts.
  • Conduct competitor research to identify market trends and opportunities to gain competitive advantage.
  • Educate team members on SEO best practices and foster cross‑functional collaboration to optimize project outcomes.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of SEO management experience, ideally within wellness, hospitality, lifestyle, or related industries.
  • Proficient in SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Screaming Frog.
  • Solid technical SEO skills, including familiarity with HTML, CSS, website architecture, schema markup, and mobile performance optimization.
  • Proven ability to develop keyword strategies, optimize content, and manage link‑building initiatives.
  • Experience conducting site migrations with SEO preservation preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with capability to interpret data and transform insights into practical recommendations.
