The Senior Business Applications Analyst acts as a functional lead and subject matter expert for Fenwick’s core business systems, including D365, POS and Shopify. The role is responsible for providing day-to-day functional support, resolving application issues, and delivering system enhancements that align with business priorities, strategic roadmaps and governance standards.

Working closely with IT teams and key business functions such as Finance, Buying & Merchandising, Digital, Logistics and Retail, the role translates business requirements into effective application solutions. Responsibilities include incident and problem resolution, user access management, change delivery, user acceptance testing, training and documentation, as well as contributing to system stability, reporting and disaster recovery readiness.

This role suits an experienced applications specialist with strong functional knowledge of enterprise retail systems, excellent problem-solving skills and confidence working with stakeholders at all levels. As a senior member of the team, the role also provides mentoring to other analysts, supports continuous improvement initiatives and helps shape best practice across the business applications landscape, balancing operational delivery with longer-term system development.

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with D365, Shopify and POS systems
• Proven ability to identify, prioritise, and resolve complex application issues, ensuring minimal business disruption
• Experience with ITIL processes (Change, Incident, Problem, Service Request)
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills , with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, including out-of-hours support
• Strong commitment to continuous improvement, process optimisation, and proactive stakeholder engagement
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and enhancing complex business processes and workflows
• Experience in modifying, maintaining and enhancing business process solutions developed by internal and 3rd party partners
