Location: 1930 Bishop Lane, Suite 111, Louisville, KY

(Combination of REMOTE and HYBRID
ON-SITE work. Candidates located in or near Louisville, KY are strongly preferred.)

Pay: $104,800 to $131,000 / year depending on experience and qualifications

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm

(After-hours responsibilities for on-call support of production databases and troubleshooting may be required)

The Senior MS SQL Database Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex SQL Server databases and ensuring their performance, availability, and security. This role requires exceptional skills from extensive experience and deep expertise in T-SQL, database architecture, performance tuning, and data integration.

• Bachelor’s
  degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in MS SQL Server development
  .
• Strong proficiency in T-SQL
  , including complex queries
  , indexing
  , and performance tuning
  .
• Experience with SSIS
  , SSRS
  , and SQL Server Agent
  .
• Solid understanding of database design principles and normalization
  .
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• Design ,

  , and maintain
  MS SQL Server databases
  , stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
• Optimize and tune
  SQL queries for performance and scalability.
• Develop and maintain
  ETL processes using SSIS or other tools.
• Collaborate with application developers and business analysts to design database solutions that meet business requirements.
• Ensure data integrity
  , security
  , and compliance with best practices and standards.
• Monitor database performance
  and implement improvements
  .
• Participate in database design and architecture discussions.
• Provide support for production databases
  , including troubleshooting and on-call support
  .
• Document database structures, processes, and procedures.

• Expertise in cloud-based SQL solutions
  .
• Knowledge of Power BI or other reporting tools
  .
• Experience with Dev Ops practices and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
• Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) are a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
