Senior Dev Ops Engineer - GCP, Kubernetes, CI/CD
As a Senior Dev Ops Engineer, you will be a key contact working directly with the Development Team to build, deploy, and maintain world‑class applications for a leading Automotive Marketing and Technology company. #Dev Ops #System Administrator #Sys Admin
Responsibilities- Deploy virtual machines and administer Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and GKE (Kubernetes).
- Setup build and deployment plans (CI/CD).
- Setup monitoring of all applications, including performance and uptime monitoring.
- Assist Development Team in debugging priority issues.
- Work closely with the development and IT teams to build applications in a modular and scalable fashion.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related work experience.
- 5+ years' experience in IT support within a Dev Ops environment.
- 5+ years' administering .Net stack applications, Windows, IIS, SQL Server, etc. OR 5+ years' administering .Net/PHP stack applications, Linux, Apache, MySql, etc.
- Administrative experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Deployment using tools such as GIT, TFS, Bit Bucket, or Bamboo.
- Solid understanding of networking infrastructure and security, firewalls, and IDS.
- Solid understanding of security principles in technology; SOC 2 compliance standards experience is a significant plus.
- Experience in performance, uptime monitoring, and debugging solutions throughout the IT stack.
- Knowledge in automation testing tools like Sonar Qube, Selenium, or other similar tools.
- Working knowledge of Microservices and how they are applied in a cloud environment, especially as they relate to .NET, AZURE, AWS, or GCP.
- Extensive experience with security principles:
Authentication, authorization, OAUTH, SAML, public‑private key encryption, asymmetric encryption, symmetric encryption, token validation, encoding, and single sign‑on. - Knowledge of caching strategy to improve the performance of security systems.
This is a full‑time, salaried, remote position headquartered in Herndon, VA. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Operational Requirements:
- Monthly “On‑Call” rotation with ability to respond 24‑hours a day to emergencies.
- Monthly weekend rotation for Production Patching.
Eastern and Central Time Zones highly preferred. A+, MCP, Dell certifications, and Microsoft Office expertise are a plus.
