What You Will Do
Software Developer will become part of a highly visible team that manages M365 products for Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). The core responsibilities are to maintain service availability, provide world‑class customer service to 19,700 users, and design, develop, and support SharePoint and SharePoint Online solutions, including migration from on‑premises to SharePoint Online with Power Platform resources such as Power Automate and Power Apps.
Responsibilities- Develop SharePoint sites based on user requirements.
- Provide tier‑3 level support using Service Now incident management.
- Support vendor applications, troubleshoot, and manage customer expectations.
- Maintain support services for SharePoint, SQL, Power Automate, and Nintex workflows.
- Participate in the migration and redesign of SharePoint on‑premises workflows for SharePoint Online.
Job Requirements for Software Developer 1
- Knowledge of programming languages, database design, and security strategies.
- Experience with web‑page development and maintenance of web‑based tools.
- Ability to use test plans and use cases to support SharePoint site design.
- Familiarity with emerging computing technologies related to M365 and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of project‑management methodologies to meet deliverables, deadlines, and budget requirements.
Job Requirements for Software Developer 2
- Demonstrated knowledge of programming languages, database design, security strategies, and component integration.
- Experience with automation and Dev Sec Ops practices.
- Experience with hardware and software integration and testing, and ability to review end‑to‑end work processes.
- Ability to translate technical terms to layperson language and present them to non‑technical audiences.
Software Developer 1:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Software Developer 2:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Power Automate and Nintex workflow design and implementation.
The position has the potential for remote work defined as working off‑site more than 2 hours from the laboratory location. Periodic onsite reporting may be required. All work locations are at the discretion of management.
Position CommitmentRegular appointment employees are required to serve a continuous period in their current position to be eligible for all posted laboratory jobs. The position commitment for this role is 1 year.
