Position SummaryProvides primary server administration responsible for server management and maintenance supporting infrastructure for various purposes and over various network topologies such as Ethernet & Wireless connectivity, going through, but not limited to, Firewalls, VPNs, Access Points, Network Access Controls, Gateways, Routers, and Concentrators. Work involves planning, directing, and coordinating the design, installation, management, configuration, testing, operation, troubleshooting, system analysis, and maintenance of various HW/SW end user devices, peripherals, and server and enterprise management systems, network/systems monitoring tools, Storage Area Networks (SAN), applications, databases, and web services.
With minimal supervision, reviews proposed changes to server, network/monitoring tools, applications, SAN, databases, and web service systems configuration HW/SW. For administration duties, this includes leading SA functions on designated application servers (UNIX/ORACLE, Windows, Exchange, SQL, Web services, DHCP/WINS, Active Directory, etc.); creating/issuing/managing accounts and passwords; and developing and enforcing network security program standards such as Group Policies, collaboration tools, and computer/network scripts.
Manages, schedules, and monitors system and data backups and restorations through an enterprise network backup system.
- Maintaining the functionality and availability of systems. This includes deploying operating systems, maintaining, optimizing, and troubleshooting end user devices, peripherals, and server hardware and software and implementing and verifying systems backup and restoration.
- All Systems requiring coverage, as detailed in the “Program Chart” attachment.
Apply knowledge of systems integration methods, information systems security principles and methods, ability to troubleshoot problems, and ability to provide technical expertise to plan and coordinate the installation of new end user devices, peripherals, servers, server software, and server services. - Apply knowledge of the IT infrastructure, knowledge of requirements analysis methods and trouble shooting ability to identify existing server performance, availability, capacity, or configuration problems, and to initiate actions, such as changes to server systems, to correct/avoid problems.
- Apply knowledge of systems integration methods, and knowledge of the mission and programs of customer organization to ensure the delivery of IT services meet customer needs.
- Supports the IA program by preparing Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages supporting systems accreditation requirements/process.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Six years combined experience directly related to any of the following:
Database Administration, Database Analysis, Database Report Reproduction, Data-Dictionary Administration System Development
Knowledge:
- Information Assurance principles and processes including preparation of C&A packages.
- Enterprise security standards including Group Policies, account and password management, and collaboration tools.
- Server administration principles, Windows, Exchange, Active Directory, and web service environments.
- Installing, configuring, testing, operating, and troubleshooting enterprise IT infrastructure components.
- Administering and maintaining enterprise network monitoring tools, backup systems, and recovery processes.
- Provide technical expertise to coordinate installation, optimization, and maintenance of end-user devices, peripherals, and server systems.
- Manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision while ensuring system functionality, reliability, and availability.
- Implement and verify systems backup and restoration procedures to protect organizational data.
- This position is performed in a professional environment, remote/home office setting, or on-site government facility, as required by the contract.
- Standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, during normally scheduled business hours, with occasional evening or weekend work required to meet critical deadlines.
- Work involves extensive computer and secure network use, including periods of prolonged sitting, data entry, and screen time.
- The role requires working independently with minimal supervision, while also collaborating virtually or in person with CCS teams, subcontractors, and government stakeholders.
- Occasional travel may be required for customer meetings, training, or project-related activities.
