SAP EDI Business Systems Analyst

Our client is hiring a mid-level SAP EDI Business Systems Analyst to support and stabilize a customer-facing EDI environment> within a SAP S/4

HANA Private Cloud (RISE) landscape. This is a newly created role designed to strengthen EDI monitoring, error handling, and operational reliability, while supporting a longer-term transition toward SAP BTP Integration Suite.

This role is intentionally scoped as hands-on but not senior-architect level
. You will work closely with an experienced Senior EDI Consultant
, with a primary focus on execution, operational excellence, and preventing recurring EDI issues.

• Support and manage customer-centric SAP EDI transaction sets, including 850, 855, 856, and 810
• Own EDI monitoring and error handling, ensuring issues are identified, resolved, documented, and prevented from recurring
• Analyze EDI failures and translate findings into clear, concise business and technical requirements
• Partner with SAP functional, technical, and integration teams to resolve EDI issues across the S/4
  
  HANA landscape
• Support data cleansing and data transformation activities tied to EDI processes
• Assist with initiatives to migrate EDI integrations to SAP BTP Integration Suite
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
• Maintain documentation and provide regular status updates to business and IT stakeholders

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience managing application operations, with 5+ years working in SAP environments
• Hands-on experience with SAP EDI, specifically:
• 850 (Purchase Orders)
• 855 (PO Acknowledgements)
• 856 (Advance Ship Notices)
• Strong experience with EDI monitoring, troubleshooting, and error resolution
• Ability to translate complex business problems into structured, actionable requirements
• Proven ability to manage multiple work streams and meet tight deadlines

• Experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite
• Exposure to cloud-based SAP integrations and modernization initiatives
• Experience supporting EDI migration or transformation efforts

  Remote working on PST for office based in San Francisco Bay Area, CA

• Focused on stability, monitoring, and operational improvement, not greenfield ERP implementations
