The Client Onboarding Lead serves as the primary strategic partner for large and complex clients during the early stages of onboarding. This role is responsible for leading discovery, capturing detailed requirements, and ensuring client needs are accurately translated into actionable delivery plans across the platform. You will work closely with client stakeholders, internal delivery teams, and external partners to define scope, identify risks, and establish a strong foundation for successful implementations and ongoing service.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary liaison for clients and internal teams during onboarding discovery, owning relationship management and requirement definition across all service offerings.
- Facilitate structured discovery sessions that result in clear, comprehensive business and technical requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on delivery methodology, guiding how client needs align with platform capabilities and service models.
- Evaluate scope during discovery, proactively identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Communicate expectations, milestones, and progress clearly to clients, cross‑functional teams, and senior leadership.
- Support business growth by identifying opportunities to expand services and increase client value.
- Thrive in a fast‑moving environment by demonstrating initiative, accountability, and adaptability.
- Contribute to additional initiatives or responsibilities as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5‑7+ years of benefits administration experience
- Background in health and welfare benefits, consulting, client onboarding, IT consulting, or SaaS implementations preferred
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including executive‑level client interactions
- Proven ability to manage aggressive timelines and competing priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Access, Project, and Visio
- Demonstrated success leading multiple large‑scale, complex initiatives simultaneously, balancing scope, timelines, and resources
- Experience defining, documenting, and improving processes using data and performance metrics
