Overview
Business Systems Analyst (CD/IRA System Support)
At Regions, the Business Systems Analyst conducts business process analysis, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefit analysis to align information technology solutions with business initiatives. This position may function as a liaison between the line of business and the Information Technology (IT) department.
Responsibilities- Formulates/defines specifications for operating software programming applications or modifies/maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from programs
- Analyzes and evaluates existing or proposed systems and devises computer programs, systems, and related procedures to process data
- Prepares charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis and submits recommendations for solution
- Prepares program specifications and diagrams and develops coding logic flowcharts
- Encodes, tests, debugs, and installs the operating programs and procedures in coordination with computer operations and user departments
- Reviews progress and evaluates results
- Reports inconsistencies to the attention of management and suggest problem resolutions and business process improvements
- Some business groups may require on-call support rotation after hours and/or weekends
- High School Diploma or GED and seven (7) years of related experience
- Or Bachelor s degree and three (3) years of related experience
- Banking or financial services industry experience
- Experience providing application support including troubleshooting
- Experience with business intelligence tools
- Familiarity with agile and/or waterfall methodologies
- Ability to plan, schedule and execute multiple concurrent activities
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Actively demonstrates a complex working knowledge of systems and software development concepts, practices, and procedures
- Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Knowledge of applicable testing tools
- Problem solving and priority management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
- This is NOT a 100% work from home position. The selected candidate must be in proximity to Hoover, AL to commute to the office as needed.
- CD/IRA Experience is strongly preferred
- Mainframe experience is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is preferred
- JIRA
- Experience working in a hybrid agile work environment
- Experience using automated testing tools

Compensation And Benefits- Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions.
- The target information below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
- Minimum Job Range Target: $69,143.25 USD
- Median: $87,850.00 USD
- This job is not incentive eligible.
