Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Mobility Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) to contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise mobility solutions. This role will serve as a technical authority, partnering with engineering, security, and business stakeholders to ensure scalable, secure, and high‑performing mobile devices. This position is located within the United States and will be a fully remote position.
Responsibilities- Serve as a technical SME for enterprise mobility solutions and architectures
- Design, implement, and support Mobile Device Management (MDM)
- Drive mobility‑related initiatives, upgrades, migrations, and integrations
- Provide expert‑level troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for complex mobility issues
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and best practices
- Advise stakeholders on mobility strategy, tooling, and roadmap decisions
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams
- Evaluate emerging mobility technologies and recommend improvements
Bachelor’s with 12 years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience- Clearance Required:
Must have an active Secret Clearance - Must have current and active CompTIA Security Certification
- Strong understanding of mobile OS platforms (iOS, Android)
- Deep expertise with Intune
- Experience with identity, access management, and security controls for mobile devices
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Experience in large‑scale or global enterprise environments
- Scripting or automation experience (Power Shell, Python, etc.)
- Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, Apple, security‑related certs)
- Experience supporting regulated or compliance‑driven environments
