DescriptionAs the organiser of some of the biggest and most iconic sport events in the world, we lead the way in the sport and event industry.
The Global Football Development Division is active in various domains of technical development around the globe. A vast set of data are being gathered day to day from these development activities on and off the pitch, providing a large amount of intelligence on football development worldwide.

THE POSITIONThese are your key tasks:
- Lead and coordinate this data gathering across the different Global Football Development (GFD) departments in an aligned way
- Report directly into the Director of Global Football Development/Deputy Chief of Global Football Development
- Coordinate and guide the team responsible for technology development and support within the Global Football Development division
- Ensure and develop an effective digital, online and onsite coordination of activities across the Global Football Development division (Educational workshops, courses on the FIFA Training centre, activity tracking, reporting, Football Performance insights, FIFA training centre etc.)
- Act as the point of contact for FIFA Technology for all GFD Division related technology developments/requirements
- Liaise with the IT Business Relations Manager regarding all relevant technology requests
- Manage divisional and cross departmental technology requirements in coordination with FIFA Technology Department
- Manage the maintenance of the different divisional technology products in coordination with FIFA Technology Department
- Supports the Director of Global Football Development/Deputy Chief of Global Football Development in managing the budget for technological developments
- Manage technology contracts with relevant technology providers in coordination with FIFA Technology Department
- Support the GFD leadership team to use the gathered intelligence to improve decision making, to track progress and to communicate, within the division as well as towards other divisions and stakeholders
- Turn requests and ideas for further intelligence gathering into concrete projects for enhanced insights and intelligence

The specific competencies we require for this position are:
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in a football/sports organisation, preferably in a sports governing organisation
- Has experience in leading teams in person and remotely (from a distance)
- Has experience and understanding how football/sports organisations are run and organised
- Has experience in technology development project management
- Has experience in cross departmental/cross team ways of working
- A master’s or bachelor’s degree in one of the following domains:
Sports Management / Sport Administration, Information Technology / Computer Science, Business Administration / Management, Project Management, Digital Innovation / Digital Transformation, Sports Engineering / Sports Technology, Data Science / Data Analytics, Marketing and Sports Business - Fluency in oral and written English
- Proficiency in French or Spanish is an asset
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project)
- Has experience in working in Azure Devops
- Has experience in agile development
- Has experience in developing Power BI
