About The Role
As an OMS Solutions Architect
, you will lead the design and implementation of a large-scale Order Management System (OMS) transformation program. You will be a valued member of the ISG team
, collaborating with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions aligned with strategic objectives for fulfillment and customer experience.
- Define end-to-end OMS architecture leveraging IBM Sterling OMS, Sterling Intelligent Promising, Sterling Order Hub, Sterling Business Center, and Spring Boot microservices.
- Design integration strategies with ERP, WMS, CRM, planning, and e-commerce platforms.
- Lead technical workshops, guide teams through design decisions, and establish best practices for OMS development and deployment.
- Provide governance on CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops processes for OMS solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to present solution options, fit-gap analysis, and roadmap to senior leadership.

What You Need To Have To Be Considered- 12–15 years of overall IT experience, with at least 5–10 years in OMS architecture.
- Proven track record of 2+ IBM Sterling OMS implementations for large retailers.
- Strong experience in retail commerce and omnichannel order management.
- Expertise in IBM Sterling OMS Container version and Sterling Intelligent Promising.
- Proficiency in Java, XML, XSLT, REST/SOAP web services, and Spring Boot microservices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and tools like Kafka, Cassandra, Elastic, ELK, Dynatrace, and JMeter.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with leadership experience managing teams of 10–30 members.
- Certifications:
IBM Sterling and Azure Certified Solutions Architect. - Experience with low-code/no-code development approaches.
- Exposure to global OMS programs and multi-region deployments.
Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until January 30, 2026. The annual salary for this position is between $140,000 - $170,000, depending on experience and other qualifications. This position is eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to applicable plans.
