Enterprise Data Architect – EMEA

The role is critical for Aon to deliver in its Data as an Asset pillar and provide expert technical advice on Data Management to retain Aon’s competitive advantage in the market by helping deliver on capabilities needed by the business as outlined in our Technology Markers.

The role will also be critical to drive the adoption of strategic technologies such asDatabricks,Snowflake, and the evolution ofAon’s Data Sharing Hub, as well as to evolve our practices aroundMLOps.

Our office is located in Krakow, and this role is open to a 50/50 hybrid or fully remote working setting.

What the Day Will Look Like

• Work closely with ML engineers and data scientists to ensure data architecture supports experimentation and deployment.
• Design and manage data systems, architectures, and pipelines.
• Prototype models, optimize data flows for ML, and contribute to Agent Workflow patterns across Aon to influence business operations efficiency and client experience.
• Build data ingestion, preprocessing, and transformation pipelines optimized for ML use cases, influencing leadership direction and contributing to 3x3 initiatives.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in enterprise-scale data engineering/data architecture role.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following data processing languages:
  Python/Scala/R
• Proficiency in TSQL, Snowflake DB and Databricks as a platform
• Deep knowledge of databases, ETL, data lakes, and cloud data services.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML and agentic workflows, including prototyping and demos for leadership.
• Understanding of model lifecycle management and MLOps.
• Practical experience building, deploying, and optimizing AI/ML models.
• TOGAF and/or Enterprise Architect recommended approaches.
• Running or participating in IT Architecture Governance.
• Familiar with Agile, Lean or Scrum processes.
• Knowledge of IT governance and operations.
• Financial or insurance industry is a plus
