Business Systems Analyst III - Enterprise Payments (Remote)
Overview
This remote role may only be hired in the following locations: AZ, FL, GA, NC, TX. It leads system analysis efforts, delivers strategic insight, and acts as a technical expert for business systems within the Bank. It performs at the highest level of service complexity in support of system operations, performance, and usage. Develops advanced solutions and specifications to resolve process issues,欢迎 testing and development.
Serves as a resource to wider business units or associates and may provide a leadership role for less experienced analysts. It will interface with business, other application development teams within IT, shared services organizations, and infrastructure areas. Position will be part of Foreign Exchange, supporting continued build out of investments, capital markets, cash, and liquidity management capabilities at First Citizens Bank.
Responsibilities
- Data Analysis:
Sources, compiles, and interprets data; performs advanced data analysis and effectively communicates findings. May handle special projects or direct group analysis efforts. - Identifying Requirements:
Determines system requirements, communicates them using specifications, reports, and project plans, and resolves complex factors that affect system processes while ensuring compliance. - Reporting:
Provides strategic insight into business systems through reports
XV senior management, evaluating systems based on data and user input, and developing process enhancements. - System Support:
Provides expert technical support for systems, ensures processes run smoothly, improves end‑user experience, handles escalated and complex support issues, and implements modifications. - Lead engagement with business partners on changing business needs, analyze requirements, and communicate system implications of proposed changes.
- Manage and coordinate initial assessment, analysis, requirements, development, testing, and implementation of incremental enhancements and change requests.
- Serve as liaison with business owners to lead and facilitate elicitation and prioritization of initiatives and business requirements, including 3rd party vendor interface design, UI specifications, and report design.
- Convert application designs into data models and interface/data mapping specifications.
- Work closely with developers to understand data structures, sources, and processes during development.
- Apply advanced knowledge of systems integration through Web services, ETL, etc.
- Proactively identify systematic and data integrity issues across multiple systems to prioritize and resolve.
- Manage and рецепт support system production issues, change requests, and maintenance.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Systems Support, Analytics, or Operational Support, or High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of experience in Systems Support, Analytics, or Operational Support.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6–8 years as a business systems analyst in the financial industry (Payments, Liquidity, Cash Management, Group Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Product Control, etc.).
- Proven track record in business requirements elicღtion, translation to functional/non‑functional requirements, solutions design, story writing, test planning, and change management.
- Experience in business process reengineering and systems analysis.
- Experience with data management projects, including data analysis, governance, quality, and lineage.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to analyze requirements, determine processing flow, user needs, and inter‑dependencies of multiple information systems.
- Experience defining test strategy and writing test cases.
- Experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; history of engagement with partners and stakeholders.
- Functional knowledge on Payment Gateways (SWIFT & FED), Payment Sanctions screening, Payment Fraud systems, Payment Workflow Management systems, Foreign Exchange, Trade Finance, and Treasury.
- Strong SQL skills; ability to write complex
822 queries. - Technical acumen: good understanding of API, Messaging infrastructure, distributed computing, system integration patterns, event stream processing, micro‑services, and cloud‑native development.
- Ability to translate complex requirements into functional system design.
- Experience in data analytics and deep data dives.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks.
- Rapid absorption of new information and domain knowledge; quick learner.
