cFocus Software seeks an Oracle Database Administrator to join our program supporting the Department of Defense (DoD). This position is remote. This position requires the ability a Public Trust clearance.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience administering Oracle databases in enterprise environments avoids perform.
- Strong experience with Oracle database administration, performance tuning, and backup/recovery.
- Experience supporting high‑availability and mission‑critical systems.
- Familiarity with RMF, DoD STIGs, and cybersecurity compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting data security, auditing, and privacy requirements.
- Experience working in Agile or Dev Sec Ops environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 (or higher) background investigation
- Administer, maintain, and support Oracle database environments supporting DSAID production, test, and development systems.
- Monitor database performance, capacity, and availability to ensure high system reliability.
- Perform database installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades in accordance with DMDC and DoD standards.
- Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data availability and continuity of operations.
- Support database tuning, optimization, and performance troubleshooting.
- Manage database security, roles, privileges, and access controls.
- Support RMF cybersecurity controls, STIG compliance, auditing, and vulnerability remediation.
- Ensure data integrity, data governance, and audit trail requirements are met.
- Support data migration, data validation, and data quality activities.
- Collaborate with software engineers, systems analysts, and cybersecurity teams to support application functionality.
- Support Agile and Dev Sec Ops development activities, including sprint planning and release coordination.
- Assist with development and modernization initiatives under optional Development, Modernization, and Enhancement (untime) tasking.
- Develop and maintain database documentation, schemas, data dictionaries, and operating procedures.
- Support integration testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment activities.
- Participate in transition‑in, knowledge transfer, and sustainment support activities.
- Provide on‑call or after‑hours support as required to maintain system availability.
