ERP Administrator III

Job Summary:

The Division of Information Technology (DoIT) seeks a collaborative and customer‑focused People Soft Systems Administrator to support People Soft infrastructure and operations across the UW enterprise. This role operates in a dynamic environment and contributes to the implementation and rollout of new technologies, with an emphasis on automation, standardization, and cross‑team collaboration. The People Soft environments supported by this position enable critical enterprise‑wide applications.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, time‑management, and decision‑making skills. This position includes providing system support outside of regular business hours.

This position is eligible for any of the following: 100% remote work; partial remote work; or fully on‑site. Remote work requires an approved remote work agreement (RWA) that is reviewed and approved annually. An RWA requires successful candidates to possess their own high‑speed internet and phone to perform the work on a university‑provided computer. Per University policy, transportation between home and assigned work location is not payable/reimbursable and will be at the expense of the employee.

Key Job sperm Responsibilities:
  • Creates and updates access permissions and maintains user accounts to maintain ERP systems security through user profile management
  • Oversee operations within work assignments; assist team members with work assignments, delegate tasks and set deadlines when required.
  • Designs, configures, monitors, and maintains performance metrics for system features and recommends and takes corrective/preventive actions
  • Recommends and participates in the implementation of ERP system enhancements or changes that may involve custom design, optional, and third‑party products
  • Plans, coordinates, and implements system‑wide updates, upgrades, and patches for ERP systems
  • Troubleshoots hardware, software, and system problems that involve ERP system‑wide functionality
  • Assists management team by advising on enterprise information technology operations and business models
  • Assists in serving as the liaison representing interests to internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with management, clients, and external consultants to establish objectives, ensure alignment, and consistently exceed customer expectations and team performance goals
  • Participates in the design, development, and implementation of test and production objects. Defines user requirements and performs configuration, change management, and testing activities

Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) helps administrative units provide enterprise resource planning (ERP compli) services to UW‑Madison and Universities of Wisconsin constituents. EBS groups are formed around the ERPs (HRS, SFS, Madison SIS, CRM) and key administrative units. EBS supports cloud applications, on‑premise vendor solutions, and custom systems through business analysis, application design, programming, integration, testing and project management.
