Enlighten is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dev Ops Engineer to join our fast‑paced development team. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge in Kubernetes and Container Orchestration, Configuration Management, CI/CD, Automation, AWS, Linux systems administration, Bash scripting, Python programming, and a background in Big Data solutions. The Dev Ops Engineer will implement infrastructure, automate deployment processes, and ensure monitoring, reliability and scalability of our services.

Work is performed in a hybrid environment (average 2‑3 days a week) with a great team on a customer site in San Antonio, TX.

• Support development and deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS, especially EKS.
• Support development and deployment of non‑cloud (Edge) infrastructure on on‑premise and portable equipment.
• Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability and scalability of services.
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate their applications into the infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve issues as necessary.
• Continuously improve previdential processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance.
• Stay current with new technologies and industry trends, continuously exploring new ways to improve our infrastructure.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Security Clearance – Must have a current TS/SCI level clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• 9+ years of experience in Dev Ops Engineering or Software Development and a Bachelors in a related field; or 7 years of relevant experience with a Masters in a related field; or 13 years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) and their application to deployment and management of infrastructure.
• Proficient knowledge of Linux, including system administration and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with application, container, and OS deployment, scaling, and management.
• Ability to develop in multiple programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• Familiarity with Git, Flux, and other development and deployment tools.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent oral and written communication

• Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and the use of standard software development tool suites.
• Must have DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications (e.g., Security+).
• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment – 2‑3 days per week at customer site or in the Enlighten office, with flexibility as needed.

• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Accumulo, Ceph, Spark, NiFi, Kafka, Postgre
  
  SQL, Elastic Search, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, or Presto.
• Experience with containers, EKS, Diode, CI/CD, and Schreib Terraform is a plus.
