Company Overview

Digital Strategist Job Brief

We are seeking an experienced Digital Strategist to build and nurture long-term, trusting relationships with our clients. The Digital Strategist will oversee a portfolio of assigned clients, training and advising them on the effective utilization of their digital eCommerce platforms. This role will focus on analyzing key metrics, making data-driven recommendations to align business goals with digital strategies, and collaborating with internal teams to address client requests promptly.

This role plays a critical part in client retention, expansion, and overall platform success. You will directly influence renewal rates, revenue growth, and the digital performance of dispensaries across SEO, local visibility, and eCommerce conversion.

What Success Looks Like
  • Clients view you as a strategic partner, not a vendor.
  • Accounts under your management show measurable improvements in traffic, conversion, and/or online ordering adoption.
  • You proactively identify and execute upsell or expansion opportunities.
  • You reduce churn risk by surfacing issues early and coordinating internal responses.
  • You maintain accurate CRM records and predictable account rhythms.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the lead point of contact and advocate for all matters specific to assigned accounts.
  • Develop and maintain trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
  • Lead recurring digital performance review meetings utilizing Google Analytics (GA4), Search Console, Looker (formerly Google Data Studio), and other reporting tools.
  • Understand client goals and effectively communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Train clients on the utilization of their eCommerce platforms, including best practices for SEO, SEM, and GMB optimization.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather customer feedback, manage support tickets, and address feature requests.
  • Make data-driven recommendations to improve performance and enhance merchandise visibility on dispensary sites.
  • Update company/contact records and the Account Plan Playbook in the company’s CRM to maintain account hygiene and tracking.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions in alignment with customer needs and objectives.
  • Report on account status to the team and elevate concerns to your Director as necessary.
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
  • Identify upsell opportunities, partnership potential, and client beta test opportunities through client feedback and data analysis.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams to improve technology, strategies, and service.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
  • Proven work experience in the Cannabis Industry as a Digital Strategist, Customer Success Manager, Marketing Client Services Representative, Account Executive, or relevant role.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, GMB, and other digital marketing strategies.
  • Experience building SEO pages, digital campaigns, and successful strategies
  • Proven ability to manage multiple account management projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Solid experience with Word Press, Elementor, CRM software (e.g., Hub Spot, and the Google Suite.)
  • Excellent listening and presentation abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
