My client is a leading social enterprise provider of community‑based social care services, committed to delivering inclusive, user‑centred digital solutions that make a real difference to people's lives.
They are now looking to appoint a Test & Release Lead in a newly created role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of testing and release activity across their digital and IMT estate.
The ideal candidate has experience of both software (web, apps, digital) and Infrastructure testing;
Microsoft products, cloud, networking and telephony;
Dynamics 365.
Reporting to the Senior Web Developer, you will be responsible for defining and managing testing and release processes across websites, digital products, IMT services, and release packages. You will oversee the full delivery life cycle – from planning and development through to deployment and ongoing support.
The role will initially focus on manual testing, with a roadmap to introduce automated testing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building capability and shaping how testing is done within an organisation.
What you'll be doing- Owning and improving testing and release processes across the IMT function
- Planning, executing, and managing testing activities across the full digital delivery life cycle
- Working closely with developers, product owners, and service teams in an agile environment
- Supporting release readiness, deployment, and post‑release assurance
- Helping define the future automation strategy and testing roadmap
- Strong experience leading testing and QA for digital products, websites, and services
- Experience across manual and automated testing methodologies
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Dev Ops practices vaposition Image release management
- Experience producing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Hands‑on experience with functional, non‑functional, regression, integration, DIT, OUAT, accessibility, performance, and security testing
- Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks
Strong understanding of accessibility, inclusive design, quality, security, and data privacy.
Desirable- Experience designing or implementing test automation frameworks
- Exposure to low‑code / no‑code platforms and automation testing
- Experience in health, social care, or third‑sector environments
- Testing or QA certifications
- Experience supporting release management and service readiness processes
