ITPA- Data Warehouse ETL Developer

The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems. This position is with the Agency Services area of DTMB.

This position functions as a senior information technology analyst responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing a variety of automated data warehouse ETL applications located on the State of Michigan’s Teradata Data Warehouse platform. It will represent the team and coordinate team activities with other data‑warehouse teams on complex, multi‑team projects. It will coordinate and develop test plans and strategies for integration, system leute?

and user‑acceptance testing, and oversee the execution of approved plans, approach and scripts during a release phase. The role requires mastery of business practices, workflows, performance indicators and predictive factors related to Eligibility areas of MDHHS to best serve customers. It collaborates with other developers to review existing policies and practices, modify work items as needed or propose new ones.

Ability to work in a hybrid agile programming environment using Azure Dev Ops is preferred. Knowledge of programming languages and techniques is required, specifically in creating and maintaining Perl, Python, and Unix scripting languages.

Position Location / Remote Office: The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out‑of‑state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget offers a hybrid work option requiring two days on‑site at the official location and three days of remote work per week.

IT Bonus –
ITPA 12: This position may be eligible for a sign‑on bonus up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 is paid upon new hire and the remainder after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12‑month period). This does not apply to current state employees.
