Due to increased demand for SEO-friendly content in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, performance.io is expanding its in-house content management team. We’re seeking an experienced medical writer with extensive knowledge of the US pharma market and an interest in web content creation.
This role entails joining our copywriting division and producing informative, scientific content for doctors and patients, with a focus on aligning with Google’s content ranking algorithms.

- Learning the ins and outs of SEO through our performance.io Academy
- Conducting research across a range of therapy areas to ensure content is scientifically accurate, with a focus on scientific findings for the US
- Helping to create presentations across a range of SEO deliverables like keyword research and sitemaps, bringing medical expertise to the insights
- Writing clear, informative, and accurate medical copy for doctors, patients, and the general public in line with performance.io’s SEO strategies and guidance, specifically targeting the US
- Collaborating with the SEO team to develop quality, search-optimized copy
- Guiding junior team members and providing senior review to ensure we produce quality, scientifically accurate content that aligns to performance.io’s content development guidance
- Manage client and internal communications regarding content across multiple projects and lead content discussions on client status calls
- Working closely with Content Team Leads to ensure projects are running smoothly and
- Educated to at least a Bachelor’s degree level in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or a related discipline
- At least 2 years of medical writing experience
- Deep, first-hand knowledge of the US healthcare and pharmaceutical market and its local regulations
- Able to distill complex medical concepts (e.g., disease features, drug efficacy, and safety data) into simple content that’s clear, concise, and compelling
- Demonstrated experience managing the review process of content deliverables for pharma clients
- Existing knowledge of SEO is a bonus, but certainly not required – our performance.io Academy will get you up to speed in no time!
