Day in the Life of a Digital Accessibility Apprentice

Imagine starting your day researching the latest accessibility standards and best practices, then jumping into a team session to help shape training materials that empower others to create inclusive digital experiences.

You might spend time developing practical resources like checklists and guides, collaborate with designers and developers to embed accessibility from the start, and support content creators to make documents and media accessible.

Later, you could engage with real users of assistive technology, gathering feedback to improve digital experiences, or help run our Accessibility Champions programme. You’ll get feel for supporting projects, meetings, and even high‑level policy engagement events.

Every day, you’ll be promoting inclusion, learning from experts, and contributing to projects that make a real difference in digital accessibility.
