This position is 4 days in office. (Grapevine, TX)
BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITIONThe individual will be responsible for end-to-end project management across all functions within specified Kubota departments. This will include definition and scoping of projects, alignment with business sponsors and key stakeholders, project execution, and communication of status and risks.
The position will provide key input into the design and planning of key strategic initiatives and manage a team of resources to establish consistent methodology and excellence in execution. In short, execute projects that exceed management and user expectations.
The Project Manager must communicate with business users to define specific needs. While working with technical teams, the PM will create requirements, project objectives/milestones, and schedules and oversee quality control throughout the entire project.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or Engineering at an accredited university preferred.
- In lieu of a degree at least 5 years’ experience in a Technical/IT or SAP/ finance/supply chain/logistics/warehouse systems with proven project delivery required.
- With a degree at least 3 years of experience in a Technical/IT or SAP/ finance/supply chain/logistics/warehouse systems with proven project delivery required.
- PMI Certification and/or Six Sigma training is preferred.
- Exposure to Agile and Waterfall methodologies of project execution.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Must be customer service oriented and able to interact professionally with contractors, other Kubota entities, and corporate management.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smart Sheets and G Suite.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Experienced in leadership, management and negotiation skills with the ability to be assertive before project tasks and go-live dates are late.
- Proven ability to be effective in a mission-driven environment.
- Experience managing projects executed with major IT consulting companies/vendors (preferred).
- Have a strong knowledge of IT products and services and educated and experienced in industry best practices specific to project management, PMI’s standards (preferred).
- Able to document complex requirements in a uniform and logical format that is easily understood by both business and technical groups.
This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:
- Identify and partner with key business users from dealers, divisions and home office to derive needs that will enhance operations and systems.
- Develop and maintain project plans that consider strategic goals, priorities, milestones, time estimates, task sequencing and critical paths while at the same time determining what tasks can be performed concurrently.
- Ensures the timely and quality development of all deliverables for projects.
- Must be able to thoroughly assess projects eliminating or minimizing scope creep.
- Create a consistent methodology to track and maintain future enhancements as additional requirements are added unexpectedly to a project.
- Measure project performance, risk, issues and dependencies using appropriate tools and techniques and can report and escalation to management as needed.
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects in parallel.
- Records important decisions made in meetings and manages communication for delivery.
- Support and or direct processes related to OpEx and Cap Ex, IT vendors, RFPs, equipment allocations, leases, contractor agreements/invoices in support of business requirements.
- Coordinates vendor approval process, contracts and controls by working with Contract Management Office.
- Help other IT team members with project load to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required standard of Kubota.
- Manages and distributes correspondence and reports for management to enhance department efficiency.
- Creates presentations and reports for senior management.
- Accepts, interprets and implements project direction from Manager or Director in a timely, professional manner.
- Help Quality Control PMO policies and procedures.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for improvements on PMO and IS toolset usage.
- Conducts administrative work such as purchase orders, calendar facilitation, invoices and auditing expense reports within the department, as needed for projects.
- The position will be asked to perform other projects and duties as assigned by the Director and/or Kubota Management.
