First Close is a leading provider of fintech solutions that streamline the home equity and mortgage lending process for banks, credit unions, and lenders nationwide. As we continue to expand and enhance our core products, we’re looking for the right candidate to help drive that growth.
As an Associate Product Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the evolution and adoption of First Close’s order management systems for third-party settlement and verification services (OMS/First Close One) and vendor marketplace platform (Gateway). Your work will involve managing complex provider integrations, lender workflows, and internal orchestration logic across the platforms.
Key Responsibilities:Product Development
- Translate provider, lender, and internal needs into clear requirements and user stories.
- Support design reviews for OMS workflows, cascades, and Gateway provider flows.
- Assist PMs with rule mapping (eligibility, routing, valuation logic).
- Maintain shared backlogs across OMS + Gateway, ensuring clarity and prioritization.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and/or coordinate UAT with lenders, internal Ops, and providers.
- Create release notes, user guides and operational support documentation for product enhancements
- Support delivery of OMS migration waves (config, testing, readiness).
- Track rollout tasks, dependencies, and communicate risk early.
- Triage provider-related issues (latency, data mismatch, SLA breaches).
- Reproduce and document defects for engineering.
- Support Ops, Support, and Implementation teams with issue analysis and configuration help.
- 1–3 years of experience in SaaS product work, business analysis/product ownership, provider integrations, fintech, or lending operations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to map and optimize complex workflows
- Solid understanding of APIs, structured data formats, and rules-based orchestration
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency with Atlassian Jira for backlog management and cross-team coordination
- Experience working on Agile product teams
- Experience with vendor performance management, including order-level audit and issue resolution
- Hands-on experience managing third-party provider relationships and integration requirements
- Familiarity with billing workflows, reconciliation processes, and vendor invoicing models
