We are hiring a Public Cloud Project Manager. This role involves customer relationship management and advocacy for Canonical's technical assets, ideal for a technologist passionate about Linux and Project Management. You will manage multiple projects, shape Statements of Work, and collaborate with stakeholders from engineering to senior executives.

Periodic international travel is required, with location based remotely in the Americas.

Responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and budget.
  • Identifying and mitigating technical and project risks.
  • Maintaining strong customer focus and stakeholder engagement.
  • Conducting status meetings and reviews.
  • Managing third-party deliverables and cross-organizational requests.
  • Advocating Canonical’s technologies to customers.
    • Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in IT Cloud project management, software development, or related roles.
  • Deep understanding of Linux, open source, and public cloud.
  • Software engineering experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Experience managing remote, cross-cultural teams.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Bachelor’s in a STEM field.
  • Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent).
  • Agile certification (Scrum Master or equivalent).
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
